Friends is hard to find

I've received too many Christmas Cards last year 2008. I got 63 Chirstmas Cards greetings from online friends and friends here in Carolina too. In the year 2008 i only got 25 Christmas Cards maybe because i was not active anymore in any online networking so much. Because i was busy making online money on blogging world. In this year 2009 i hope i will still receive few greetings from a friend to all my online friends. Friends from neighborhood, friends from every where around the world.

Last year its was very meaningful to me. Because i found a lot of true friends around the corner. Friends you know who you are...hope your not going to be changed. I hope that our friendship will last forever and it will not wither in one spun of test, trial along the way. Friends is hard to find.

How to Make Friends

Being a lone man or woman could be enjoyable but only for a certain time period and then the need of having a friend or a group of friends just for you becomes overpowering. There is then the weirdest phase in life one could ever pass through. And if this is one of those phases of your life, letting the phase to prolong and remain forever in fear of socializing could prove to be an unintelligent thing to do. But then, where is the exigency of letting yourself getting into such a phase and remain there when there is every little way of getting over it.

The need to socialize could arise anytime and anywhere, whether you join a new job or relocate to an entirely new place. The ability to make friends spontaneously is in itself a talent and some need to hone it more than others. Bearing in mind certain important tips and implementing them could make things easier.

1. Become aware of your talents and seek ways of developing them. For instance join a club to develop yourself in your favorite sport such as table tennis, golf or chess. Or join a swimming club or a music or dance academy. Even, joining a gym to keep you fit could fetch you many opportunities to make friends. Do not miss any of the parties or get-together where you are an invitee.
2. Once you find yourself socializing in an entirely new group, do not be in a hurry to make friends. Dress up according to the occasion and make yourself comfortable. Talk less and smile more. Do not speak gibberish in an attempt to fill in awkward gaps.
3. If you are in a group, you could continue a conversation rather than opening up one in the first go. Look into the eyes while talking to a fellow person and be attentive. A good and attentive listener is the one who is most sought out especially in a group.
4. Introduce yourself humbly and do not proceed unless you are welcomed. If you find people incompatible and peculiar, leave your attempt of making friends half way. Try not to be over-friendly.
5. Plan a get-together or a useful gathering at your place. However at every step analyze people and do not place your trust completely initially. Doing so could save you from disastrous friends. So choosing friends carefully is most imperative since having a depraved friend circle is worse than having no friend circle.
6. Once you have chosen your friends and have become an accepted part of your society, it is time to be a good friend yourself. For this, be a helpful, trustworthy and honest friend. Develop the habit of keeping secret and never gossip!
7. More than making friends, keeping them forever is what matters. Be yourself and never boast about anything. During a conversation, make sure you do not bring up sensitive issues that could hurt the one you are conversing with.
